Once booked, I’ll send you a background questionnaire to complete before the assessment. This includes developmental history, educational concerns, and any previous reports. For children, I may also ask for input from their school or teacher.
The face-to-face (or remote) assessment usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. It includes a range of standardised tests covering:
I take a friendly and flexible approach, allowing breaks as needed, especially for younger clients.
Following the assessment, I will produce a comprehensive written report in line with current SASC guidelines. It will include: A clear explanation of the findings Any formal diagnosis (if applicable) Strengths and areas of difficulty Practical recommendations for school, university, or the workplace Reports are typically completed within 2–3 weeks of the assessment.
Once the report is complete, I offer a short follow-up call to answer any questions and talk through the next steps. You are also welcome to contact me afterwards if anything needs further clarification.
All assessments are conducted by a qualified specialist teacher holding a Level 7 qualification in dyslexia assessment reports are suitable for DSA, exam access arrangements, and educational planning.
